Higher temperatures and lower altitudes in northern regions result in full-bodied coffees with less brightness and snap; perfect for easy-drinking, with soft nuttiness, big sweetness and low acidity. Southwestern regions tend to have higher altitude, which comes through in more complex acidity and heightened florality.
